Let’s leave out the obvious things, shall we? (I love books, music, blah, blah, blah)

Okay, very quickly then. Batman. Although, Wolverine comes close. Black/Green. Impossible to choose a favourite band. Nine. Tuesday. November. Butterscotch. Tuscany! Can’t decide between The Witches and Matilda. Cranberry juice. Dexter’s Lab, The Looney Tunes Show, The Little Lulu Show. Brent Weeks.  Tea. At the moment. Oh, who am I kidding? Coffee. Yoda. Calvin and Hobbes.

“If you are a student, you should always get a good night’s sleep unless you have come to the good part of your book, and then you should stay up all night and let your schoolwork fall by the wayside, a phrase which means ‘flunk’. ”

– Lemony Snicket

I can watch Singing In The Rain over, and over, and over again. Nothing cracks me up like Bartimaeus.  Okay, except maybe.. Samit Basu’s Game World Trilogy. And Roddy Doyle. I think having a pet platypus who is a secret agent is very, very cool. I’m pretty sure my puppy does some crime-fighting when I’m not looking, too. (The other day, he stole my scrunchie when I went to hug him and wouldn’t give it back until I convinced him that it was an utterly uninteresting object and not likely to blow my head to bits)

All my reviews are spoiler free, unless indicated otherwise. So you have no cause for worry.Very rarely do I include a synopsis – I won’t tell you what a book is about, you could just google that after all. I will, however, tell you about the entire reading experience a book produced.

I love recommendations and you can give them to me by the dozen, if you like. I’d prefer if you told me why exactly you’re recommending it though, but it’s okay if you don’t (I understand laziness, worry not). If I like them, I will be forever grateful.

You can find me on Goodreads here.

I Want My Hat Back, Too.

Also. I think The Great Red Dragon is the definition of awesome.

See? Awesome.

Hey, a thought…(I was trying to decide where you were likely to see a message from me first, but I decided here would do, haha)…you know how you started that 30 Day Music Challenge you made up (though never quite finished it)? I was thinking of doing that now, but I might tweak some of the questions…is that cool with you? Just thought I’d ask because it was your idea initially (and I planned on mentioning/linking you on the first post, too). 🙂

    • Tanya says :

Go right ahead! I might even join you. Doing it alone isn’t so much fun. 🙂
I was thinking of turning it into a once-a-week challenge. It’s a lot more reasonable that way.

      • The Other Watson says :

Hahaha, yeah it’s more fun when other people jump in on it! I’m keeping most of your questions, but there was a few important questions your list was missing (such as favourite album of all time, which for me is going to be the big one on Day 30), so I’m adding those in and taking out some which I think would be harder to answer.
I’m on holidays for the next 2 weeks, so I think I might make it a daily thing but keep the posts short, say 300-400 words at the most, and try and write the second half of the month while I’m still on holidays, so that way they will be ready to go when I do return to work. I intend on keeping my book/writing posts still going in the meantime, but it will be nice to give my blog a bit of a kick up the bum – I feel it’s become a little predictable and a part of me just doesn’t like that haha.
        Excited about this now! 😀

      • The Other Watson says :

Okay, my post on it is up. I’ve tweaked maybe 10 of the questions, and kept the other 20? Pretty excited about it, am going to start Day 1 tomorrow! Now I have to make some decisions about the answers to these questions hahaha… 😛

Hey stranger, how have you been? And for that matter, where have you been? It seems I went on holiday to England, and during that time you disappeared entirely! I hope you are well at any rate.
Meanwhile, I’ve nominated you for The Blog Of The Year award, as your blog has been one of my favourites since I very first followed it back at the start of the year.

Let me know what you think!
